This course introduces the science behind light and vibration therapy, focusing on their benefits to the human body, especially in relation to female pelvic health. We explore how light and vibration therapy supports tissue rejuvenation, increases blood flow, promotes wound healing, reduces pain and inflammation, regulates muscle tone and provides microbial support, with references to current research.
The course connects these therapeutic effects to a range of pelvic health conditions, including vaginal dryness, atrophy, incontinence, prolapse, dyspareunia, pelvic and bladder pain syndromes, endometriosis, and post-surgical or postpartum healing, as well as microbial concerns such as bacterial vaginosis. We introduce the practical use of an intravaginal wand for delivering light and vibration therapy, including recommended dosage and treatment frequency for each condition.
